Casita Miro Bodega Urium Amontillado (6 Bottles) Waiheke Island (Copy)

A brilliant ambercolour, Bodega Urium’s beautiful Amontillado has been aged for 17 years. This lengthy ageing process has resulted in a mahogany hued sherry with aromas of toffee and raisin on the nose. It bursts into the mouth with multiple layers of toasted hazelnut, vanilla and incense with an aftertaste that goes on and on.

About Casita Miro Wines

Miro Vineyard is in the Onetangi wine-growing region and comprises a 4.2 hectare vineyard and the outstanding Tapas restaurant called Casita Miro. Miro is the closest vineyard to Onetangi Beach, a summer playground for holiday makers. Views from the vineyard are spectacular, looking out over the vines, the village and the sea.

Grapes in the region ripen to a rare succulent intensity in the hot summer sun. The mineral rich soil provides the vines with flavour-enhancing elements. Red grapes such as Syrah and Bordeaux varietals are our focus here but we also grow beautiful Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Albarino and a small amount of Viognier that is grown primarily to blend with the Syrah. We are delighted to announce that we are pouring our 2019 MIRO by the glass! Duck in for a tasting, if you are on the island, or head to our shop to purchase these lovelies!
