Intensely aromatic with ripe passionfruit and tropical notes leading the way, the wine shows great concentration and drive, with a juicy finger lime and citrus focused mid palate framed with bright acidity. The majority of fruit was cool fermented in stainless steel, with a small component of barrel fermented wine blended in for texture.

The grapes were harvested over a two-week period according to their flavour and aromatic profile using a combination of hand and machine harvesting. Individual parcels of fruit were destemmed and fermented separately at cool temperatures in stainless steel tanks, using selected yeasts. A small component was barrel fermented and blended in for texture.

About Amisfield Wines

Amisfield was established in 1988 and is a Central Otago based specialist producer of Pinot Noir and aromatic white wines, grown and produced on their single vineyard estate, situated beneath the glacially sculpted Pisa mountain range.

Amisfield’s vineyard is certified organic by BioGro New Zealand and viticulture is managed holistically with a focus on nurturing soils, vines and habitats – this, combined with a rugged inland location and an extreme semi-continental climate yields wines of remarkable purity, intensity and vibrancy.

A state-of-the-art, purpose-built winery is the focal point of the vineyard and is designed to enable winemakers to craft wines with minimal intervention and as naturally as possible.
