“Elegant and moderately intense pinot noir with floral, violet, dark cherry, anise, spice and subtle oak flavours. A fresh, vibrant wine with appealing acidity that gives the wine energy”. 92 points – Bob Campbell MW

Matured in French oak barriques and seduced by the steady thrum of the bassline, our Pinot Noir delivers a lush, rounded palate with vibrant red fruit vibes, and a lick of gentle oak and dark chocolate.

Nobody’s Hero Marlborough Pinot Noir is a fleshy, satisfying wine made in the Framingham way. Here, we
prefer an elegant, “feminine” style of Pinot Noir with fragrance, charm and grace. Wine for those who just want to be themselves.

WINE MAKING
Grapes from each vineyard were given a short cold soak period before fermentation commenced. Plunging was
gentle and not too frequent, aiming to retain elegance in the wine. Dry wines remained on skins until the tannin balance looked approachable. Components were aged in new (15%) and used French barriques for seven months. Overall whole bunch influence is approximately 8%.

TASTE
Aromas of dark cherry, berry fruits and smoke. Flavours of red fruit compote and mocha. Juicy and fleshy in the mouth with soft tannins and persistent flavour. Easy to drink on its own, or to match with food.

FOOD MATCH
Lamb, duck, salmon and charcuterie.

About Framingham

We planted our first vines in the Wairau Valley in 1981, and we’ve been growing grapes and making wine by our own rules ever since. Taking the best of what we learn from the F-Series and incorporating it into the Framingham range, these full-flavoured wines embody subtle nuances, balanced minerality, and mouth-filling textures.

Nobodys Hero Launch Party was filmed in the Framingham Underground Space. A music video to celebrate individuals. Our winery band have covered the original Stiff Little Fingers version of Nobodys Hero.
